Asa numitul fenomen "Sunetul apocaliptic ",  fenomenul "The Hum" ramane nerezolvat.

Un fenomen misterios s-a petrecut in nordul Angliei, in satul Woodland, comitatul Durham, unde in toiul noptii s-au auzit suntele misterioase, a caror sursa a ramas neidentificata. Fenomenul a aparut si in alte regiuni din lume, precum in Noua Zeelanda si in Statele Unite.

 Sunetul este foarte patrunzator, neregulat si parca ar fi produs de un generator, care lucreaza undeva la distanta, potrivit ABC News.

"Sunetul este teribil, cand il auzi", a declarat o localnica. Comunitatea din Woodland este deranjata in fiecare noapte de aceste sunete misterioase, un fenomen care este cunsocut sub denumirea "the hum".

Acest fenomen neobisnuit este un sunet de joasa frecventa, comparat cu zgomotul produs de un motor, dar care se intensifica in timpul noptii.
Astfel de sunete ciudate au fost intalnite in diverse colturi ale lumii, precum Auckland in Noua Zeelanda, Taos in New Mexico si Hawaii in SUA, Vancouver in Canada sau in Marea Britanie.
